To this day, some 30 years later I still say that 3rd grade was my favorite! A big part of that was probably my teacher, Mrs. Warburton, but I also LOVED learning the multiplication facts. I think multiplication facts are something that either your child gets right away or takes lots of practice to understand and memorize.
WHAT ARE MULTIPLICATION FACTS
Knowing your multiplication facts means you know the product of two factors. However, they are easily taught grouping them by factors. So your student might learn all multiplication facts x2: 1x2, 2x2, 3x2, 4x2, and so on.
Really, multiplication is just skip counting on steroids! If your child can count by 2's, 3's, 5's etc, they are already on their way to having the times tables memorized! Whoop-whoop!!
Thus knowing their multiplication facts will make higher level math go a little more smoothly as they'll be able to quickly recall the facts to continue working on an algebra problem, for instance.
I have realized in teaching my own kiddos, that practicing math facts or some other skill is always more fun with games, so here's where this printable multiplication game comes in!

I've included two ways to practice multiplication facts:- one printable game board is filled out and works on facts 0-9
- the other printable is blank so that you may fill it out according to your child's skill level.

To play, you'll need:
- Multiplication Tic Tac Toe printable
- Do a Dot Markers or another manipulative to mark your turn.
HOW TO PLAY MULTIPLICATION TIC TAC TOE
Each player will need a manipulative to mark out their turn. We chose to use Do A Dot Markers
with our Tic Tac Toe game, but you might also choose to use a pen or some other small manipulative for each player.
Another option to save on paper would be to laminate
or place the game boards in a protective sheet
and use dry erase markers or small manipulatives.
This is played just like Tic Tac Toe using 'x' and 'o's'-- except in order to mark your spot you must first answer the multiplication sentence correctly.

So if you wanted to mark your spot on 1x5, you must say the answer first {5} and if it is correct, then you may use the Do A Dot Marker
